This file was created after my visit to Conjuration 2002 in Missouri. Since this was my first con ever, I don't know most of names. I highlighted the names unknown to me by ???????? signs. Jousting at Conjuration 2002

The mock tournament that was held at the closing of Conjuration 2002, June 23. A day before, the picturing competition took place between the Authors and the Artists. Teams had to express a given common phrase (like "two cats meow", for example) by some drawing — one draws, others try to guess. By the rules, the looser party had to participate in the jousting.

    The very first round, Dee Dreslough (at the right) vs. John Kaufmann (at the left). As the shawl dropped, the rivals ride their steeds to hit each other by the spears.

The Judges and The Verdict


    The judges are the Authors, of course. From the left to the right: David Weber, ????????, ????????, Richard Knaark (?), ????????. Each judge calls the rating for each participant and the center one keeps track of wins and loses.

The Samurai Match


    ???????? (at the left) vs. David Deen (at the right). The ending of this round is a parody on the Samurai Sword Demo shown a day ago.

The Fierce Ride


    Just another tournament ride, Ragnar (?) (at the left) vs. ???????? (at the right). Ragnar's wife was the lady of the tournament to choose who takes the second prize (one of steeds). Accordingly, her baby have got a bike.

Spear is Not Enough


    Dee Dreslough (at the right) hits ???????? (at the left) by the spear, but it appears to be not enough so she run down for the sword to slice the opponent some more.

For The Pictionary Contest!


    David Deen (at the left) and Dee Dreslough (at the right) go for judges at the table. Both fall dead therefore that was the last round. The survivor judges calls Dee a winner.
